Los Angeles-based developer Jamison Services, Inc. has completed construction for the Abbey, a 110-unit apartment building at 3550 W. 6th Street in Koreatown.
The project consisted of the adaptive reuse of a six-story, 1927 office building into a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 550 square feet to 1,069 square feet in size. Individual units come with open floor plans, balconies, stainless steel appliances and in-unit washer-dryer sets. Residents will also have access to common area amenities susch as a fitness center and a 4,000-square-foot roof deck .
Located at 6th Street and Normandie Avenue, the Abbey sits one block north of Metro's Purple Line subway, and in close proximity to local landmarks such as Chapman Plaza, the Line Hotel and the Normandie Hotel.
The Abbey is one of six projects currently under construction from Jamison, which is also partnering on the two-tower Circa development near L.A. Live.
Jamison's first foray into the multifamily market came in 2013 through the 127-unit Westmore, which repurposed a vacant 12-story office building on Wilshire Boulevard.
