A small residential complex near the Hollywood Walk of Fame are slated to give way for a mid-rise hotel development.
Yesterday, plans were filed with the City of Los Angeles to construct a 10-story building on a half-acre site at 1719 N. Whitley Street, featuring 156 guest rooms above parking accommodations for 122 vehicles and 16 bicycles. The project would require the demolition of six low-rise structures that contain a total of 40 residential units.
A case filing from the Department of City Planning links the proposed development to Whitley Apartments, a limited liability corporation based out of West Los Angeles.
The property sits immediately north of a similar hotel proposal from CIM Group, and north of a growing cluster of boutique establishments surrounding Selma Avenue.
