A long-stalled proposal to build a multifamily residential development in Silver Lake has quietly kicked into action.
According to realtor Dion Noravian, fencing has now been placed around the hillside lot at 2600-2650 W. Riverside Drive, signaling that construction is near for a four-story, 120-unit apartment complex.
City records which date back to 2009 link the development to Los Angeles-based GMPA Architects. The firm's website dubs the project Riverglen II, and describe it as a trio of four-story buildings with one- and two-bedroom dwellings. "Glass-enclosed modules" link the buildings to joint amenities, such as a rooftop pool and a recreation center.
Construction permits are currently being processed for the development. Additional details about the project are unclear.
