Aerial images from photographer Hunter Kerhart construction is now well above ground level at 950 E. 3rd Street, a $215-million mixed-use complex in the Arts District.
Fairfield Residential and Legendary Development are collaborating on the nearly six-acre project, which will include multiple five- and six-story buildings with 471 apartments, 22,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and amenities.
Kava Massih Architects is designing the contemporary development, which which is interspersed with landscaped paseos and other green space.
The property sits immediately west of both the Southern California Institute of Architecture and One Santa Fe, a similar mixed-use complex.
Partial completion of the project is expected by the end of 2017.
