In Sawtelle, local construction firm Integrare Group sends word that work is underway for a new co-living apartment complex just north of Santa Monica Boulevard.
Rize Alliance, a Vancouver, Canada-based real estate development firm, is making its entrance into the Los Angeles market with a new co-living apartment building at 1503 S. Barrington Avenue. The project, which replaces a single-family home and a triplex, will consist of a four-story structure featuring 18 apartments.
Per the Rize Alliance website, 1503 Barrington will include a mix of four- and five-bedroom floor plans, as well as outdoor patios and an indoor clubhouse.
LOHA is designing the new project, which will feature open stairwells wrapping around an open-air central courtyard.
The development site is located directly north of the intersection of Barrington and Santa Monica Boulevard, where developer Markwood is midway through construction of a larger mixed-use project which will feature 51 apartments atop ground-floor commercial space.
A number of other mixed-use and multifamily residential developments are slated for the stretch of Santa Monica to the west of the 405 Freeway, including an eye-catching apartment complex slated to rise at the former site of a Vons supermarket at the southeast corner of Santa Monica and Barrington.
