Construction is now wrapping up for E. on Grand, 4D Development & Investment's $30-million mixed-use project in Downtown's South Park neighborhood.
The seven-story building, located at the northwest corner of Pico Boulevard and Grand Avenue, will feature 112 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments above approximately 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Other components of the project include a fitness center, a roof deck, a swimming pool and underground parking for 95 vehicles.
A rendering of the project shown to the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee in 2014 portrayed an exterior of cement plaster, aluminum panels and simulated wood siding. The real life product appears to have dropped the planned aluminum elements, and swapped simulated wood for tile.
The $30-million development is on track for completion this year, and is one of several seven-story buildings that have recently transformed a three-block stretch of Pico Boulevard.
