This week's edition of Throwback Thursday comes from architectural photographer Hunter Kerhart, showing the difference that two years can make for a pair of parking lots in Downtown Los Angeles.
The before picture, taken in June 2015, shows construction just getting underway for South Park's Circa and Oceanwide Plaza developments, which total five high-rise buildings between them.
The after image, taken in March 2017, shows the two developments in their current states.
Circa - a joint venture by the Hankey Group and Jamison Services - consists of twin 36-story towers that will feature 648 apartments and 40,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Oceanwide Plaza - named for its developer, Oceanwide Real Estate Group - features three towers, the tallest of which rises 49 stories. The completed development will offer 504 condominiums, a 150,000-square-foot retail gallery and a 184-room Park Hyatt.
