A short distance north of the 22 Freeway in Santa Ana, construction continues for a new medical office complex from Providence St. Joseph Hospital.

The project, which is being developed by PMB, sits along the east side of Main Street between Palymra Avenue and Stewart Drive. At completion, the four-story structure will feature approximately 137,000 square feet of space.

Dubbed the Helen Caloggero Women’s & Family Center, in honor of donor Marsha Moeller's late mother, the new complex will include:

  • a birthing center;
  • a mother and baby assessment center;
  • maternal diabetes and wellness;
  • maternal fetal testing;
  • pelvic health and rehabilitation;
  • perinatal education;
  • OB/GYN clinical offices;
  • certified midwives;
  • imaging;
  • conference and education facilities;
  • physical therapy
  • oncology facilities;
  • ophthalmology;
  • orthopedics;
  • a surgery center;
  • urology; and
  • a pharmacy.

Likewise, plans call for a retail Stork Shop and a Blue Bowl Superfoods outlet, located above underground parking

The building, which topped out in October 2022, is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The center is located just north of CHOC Children's Hospital, which is in the midst of its own expansion.
