A 1950s single-family home in North Hollywood could make way for apartments, according to an application submitted earlier this month to the L.A. Department of City Planning.
The proposed project from Helen Tat of Tatcoson, LLC, which is slated for a single parcel located at 12040 Stagg Street, calls for the construction of a new four-story building featuring 11 one- and two-bedroom apartments on its upper floors, as well as a garage with two accessory dwelling units at street level.
San Marino-based NEO & Associates is designing 12040 Stagg, which is shown in renderings as a contemporary low-rise structure, with a central patio that opens to the street and allows for natural ventilation.
The project's entitlement application indicates that it will require the approval of a zone change by the North Valley Area Planning Commission.
The site last sold for $710,000 in 2016, according to city records.
