A mixed-use development is planned near Vista Hermosa Park, according to a new case filing with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The project, slated for a 15,000-square-foot property at the northwest corner of Beverly and Glendale Boulevards, would consist of a five-story building featuring 55 apartments above ground-floor retail space and three levels of underground parking.

East across Glendale, the Bob Baker Marionette Theater is slated to be redeveloped as a similar five-story, 104-unit building.

South across Beverly, construction is now underway for a six-story, 125-unit affordable housing complex.
