Small lot houses unwrapped at 3601 S. McLaughlin Avenue in Mar Vista

A few blocks north of Venice Boulevard, construction is in the home stretch for a new small lot subdivision on a corner lot in Mar Vista.

The project, built on a site previously developed with a fourplex at 3601 S. McLaughlin Avenue, consists of six single-family dwellings in a mix of three- and four-bedroom floor plans. All of the homes will feature a two-car garage at street level.

According to city records, Venice-based Design Universal is the architect behind houses, each of which stand four stories in height, with frontage on Charnock Road to the north. The buildings are clad in painted stucco and wood siding.

The property was entitled for development by Lewis Futterman. The owner of the property is listed as the entity 1485 PH, LLC.
