A draft environmental impact report published by the Los Angeles Department of City Planning has unveiled renderings for Providence Tarzana Medical Center's upcoming expansion.
The project, initially filed with the City of Los Angeles over one year ago, calls for the construction of a new patient and a six-story parking garage at the hospital just south of the Ventura Freeway. A full buildout of the expansion will result in an increase in 256,000 square feet of foor area across the property, including 557 parking spaces.
Architecture Perkins + Will is designing the new patient wing, which is portrayed as a modern six-story building rising to a maximum height of 120 feet above grade.
Completion of the Tarzana Medical Center expansion is expected sometime between 2022 and 2025.
