A 1920s home just south of Temple Street in Historic Filipinotown could make way for a new small lot subdivision, according to an application submitted earlier this year to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The property, located at 233 N. Robinson Street, is currently developed with two dwellings, according to city records. Land owner and applicant 233 Property, LLC is seeking entitlements to raze those improvements to make way for a trio of small lot homes, accompanied by two attached accessory dwelling units. The resulting development would include five homes.
Plans show a trio of buildings, ranging from 2,180 to 2,692 square feet in size, with floor plans of up to four bedrooms.
Scales Lab Architects is designing the contemporary small lot homes, which would be clad in smooth finish white cement plaster.
The project site sits one block east of the former site of Temple Community Hospital, where completion nears for a 221-unit apartment complex from Gemdale Corp.
