Concrete and rebar now protrude above ground level at 6677 Santa Monica Boulevard, as AvalonBay Communities proceeds with the construction of a mixed-use complex on the nearly six-acre property.
The project, which will feature multiple buildings up to seven stories in height, will feature 695 apartments, 25,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Plans also call for a landscaped paseo cutting through the center of the property.
Koning Eizenberg is serving as the project's design architect, with direction from Togawa Smith Martin. Renderings are currently unavailable.
Previous reports point to a completion date in 2018.
