An 11-story Hyatt Place hotel has topped on in Downtown Glendale, one block west of Brand Boulevard.

The mid-rise tower, located at Central and Wilson Avenues, will feature 173 hotel rooms with accessory functions such as meeting rooms, garden decks, a fitness center and a swimming pool.

Kansas-based LK Architecture designed the project, which is one of several Hyatt Place hotels in the company's portfolio.

A similar hotel is planned by R.D. Olson at the corner of Wilson and Louise Street.
