In unincorporated West Carson, delayed plans for a new townhome development are now coming to fruition a short distance south of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

Construction is underway for a new development consisting of 21 dwellings at 1022 W. 223rd Street, according to plans reviewed last year by the Los Angeles County. Plans call for the construction of four separate three-story structures, featuring a mix of three- and four-bedroom dwellings ranging between 1,924 and 2,352 square feet in size.

Plans indicate that Envirotechno is designing the project.

Property owners list the owner of the site as Torrance Development, LLC, an Arcadia-based entity managed by Xinyan Cheng.

The project is the latest in a string of similar townhome-style developments along 223rd Street, including the Sage Walk project from Olson Homes now rising to the west.
