Six months after breaking ground, a red tower crane stands high above a property at 939 W. Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood, where Texas-based development firm JPI is building a new mixed-use apartment complex.
The Jefferson Inglewood development, which replaced a car wash near the K Line's Westchester/Veterans Station, calls for the construction of an eight-story building featuring 222 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments atop 3,500 square feet of retail space and a three-level parking garage.
Project approvals will require that 11 apartments be set aside for rent as affordable housing, according to information released earlier this year by JPI.
TCA Architects is designing Jefferson Inglewood, which is portrayed in plans as a contemporary podium-type building with a triangular footprint. Planned amenities include a pool , a clubroom, a fitness center, and a rooftop deck.
The project is on track to begin opening for residents in early 2026.
JPI recently commenced work on a similar multifamily residential development next to the A Line in Monrovia.
