At a community meeting last week, Rios Clementi Hale Studios unveiled three initial concepts for South Grand Park - a proposed half-acre green space near the corner of 11th Street and Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles.

The three alternatives - dubbed Community Theater, Backyard Oasis and Flexible Platform - have been distilled into a draft design concept, per a presentation to the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee.

The proposed design incorporates elements of all three initial concepts, including a central paseo, a water court, space for food vendors, a treehouse and outdoor seating.

South Grand Park is being built in concert with a 38-story mixed-use tower from Mack Urban and AECOM.
