In Redondo Beach, the wrapping is coming off for a mixed-use development at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Palos Verdes Boulevard.
Legado Redondo, which is being developed by Legado Companies, occupies an approximately 4.3-acre site at 1700 W. Pacific Coast Highway. The most prominent element of the project is a new five-story podium-type building at the southwest corner of the site, which will feature 115 residential units atop nearly 22,000 square feet of street-fronting retail and restaurant space when completed. Plans also call for parking below the building.
The abutting Palos Verdes Inn is also being renovated as part of the project, and will reopen as a 110-key hotel featuring a modern exterior and a rooftop pool deck.
AO is designing the hotel component of the project.
Legado Companies, based in Beverly Hills, is also developing a similar multifamily project in Irvine.
