In Koreatown, the wrapping is off for an adaptive reuse project that is transforming a 1950s office building into a hotel.
The project site, a four-story structure located at 3434 W. 6th Street, is being converted into a 52-room hotel with at-grade parking become restaurant space. New construction to the east of the building will create more restaurant and bar space on what was previously a surface parking lot.
The hotel will be served by five on-site parking spaces, and leased stalls in an off-site garage located at 550 S. Kenmore Avenue.
City records list the project applicant and property owners as Moon Han Bae of M and C Property Management, LLC. The project architect is listed as Architecture Studio MA, Inc.
A leasing brochure from LoopNet shows the completed building with a modern look and approximately 9,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial area.
Completion is expected in 2025, per the brochure.
