Not far from the L Line's Allen Station in Pasadena, construction is underway for the latest income-restricted for-sale housing development from Heritage Housing Partners.
The project at 1878 E. Walnut Street, which replaced an auto body repair shop, will consist of a two-to-four-story building featuring 58 one, two-, and three-bedroom flats and townhomes. Plans also call for a one-level, 97-car basement garage.
Moule & Polyzoides which was previously described in a presentation to the Pasadena Design Commission as being of the Post-Modern style. Plans show an exterior of brick, plaster, concrete, and terra cotta, with terrace decks and courtyards provided as open space for future residents.
A landing page on the Heritage Housing website indicates that the housing will be sold to eligible low-, moderate-, and workforce-income households.
Completion of construction is expected in Fall 2025, according to the landing page.
Heritage Housing, one of the few builders of income-restricted for-sale housing, previously developed a similar 48-unit complex at 735 Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena.
