After a $2.7-million restoration, the Wilmington Clock Tower is now good as new at Berth 153 of the Port of Los Angeles.

“The Wilmington Clock Tower is one of many iconic structures at the Port of Los Angeles that showcases our storied history and legacy in the region,” said Port of Los Angeles executive director Gene Seroka in a news release. “Now restored, the tower will once again be able to serve as a beacon for residents, visitors and ships coming through our Port each year.”

New exterior lighting will be able to change colors to coincide with Port and City events. The tower, built in the 1950s, stands 100 feet in height and is visible from the Vincent Thomas Bridge, the Battleship Iowa, and the West Harbor.
