Construction is now wrapping up for a small residential-retail complex in West Los Angeles' bustling Sawtelle Japantown.

The five-story building, identified in earlier reports as Regents Park, is located on a single parcel at 1854 Sawtelle Boulevard.  The project features 25 one-bedroom apartments atop 650 square feet of ground-floor retail space and basement parking for 28 vehicles.

Warren Techentin Architecture designed the building, which features a plaster exterior accented with wood panels.

A similar development, known as the Notting Hill Apartments, recently opened across the street.
