In Westlake, completion nears for a new project from non-profit developer West Hollywood Community Housing.
Miramar Gold, located just north of the 3rd Street corridor at 1438 Miramar Street, consists of a seven-story building that will feature 94 rental apartments reserved for low-income and formerly unhoused residents when completed.
According to a June 2022 staff report to the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, the apartments will come in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, reserved for households earning between 20 and 60 percent of the area median income level.
Architecture firm 64North is designing the apartment complex, which will be composed of two seven-story wings connected by pedestrian bridges at each level.
Completion is expected this year.
Miramar Gold is one of two West Hollywood Community Housing projects rising on back-to-back sites in Westlake. The other, Third Thyme, remains under construction on an adjoining site to the south.
