Inspire Echo Park apartments unwrapped at 355 Glendale Blvd.

Just south of the US-101 freeway, completion nears for a new multifamily residential complex from Chicago- and Los-Angeles based Bond Companies.

Inspire Echo Park, located on a one-acre site at 355 N. Glendale Boulevard, consists of a seven-story structure featuring 90 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments above parking for 82 vehicles.

A leasing website advertises monthly rents ranging from $2,566 and $6,032 per month, with units as small as 320 square feet and as large as 1,089 square feet.

The site was entitled using Transit Oriented Communities incentives, which resulting in an approval for a larger building than would otherwise allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, the Bond Companies will be required to set aside 10 of the apartments aside for rent as affordable housing at the very low-income level.

HED designed the contemporary podium-type structure, which will include amenities such as a lounge, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a rooftop deck.

Other recent Bond Companies projects include a mixed-use buildings a few blocks west of Glendale Boulevard and in Hollywood.
