A mixed-use development form Bando Dela Corp. has reached its top floor across the street from the historic Bullocks Wilshire Building in Koreatown.
Located at 3020 Wilshire Boulevard, the project consists of an eight-story building that will feature 262 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments atop 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and parking for 359 vehicles.
Since the apartment complex is a by-right project, it did not require density bonus incentives, and will not include any deed-restricted affordable units.
KTGY is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which will include a courtyard swimming pool and roof decks. Plans also call for amenities such as a fitness center, a game room, and co-working space.
The development site sits just west of the 25-story Kurve on Wilshire apartment tower, which also features multifamily residential uses above ground-floor retail. Farther west beyond Bullocks Wilshire, developer Crescent Heights has plans for its own residential tower at 3100 Wilshire Boulevard.
The 3020 Wilshire development is also the third large apartment complex for Bando Dela in the Koreatown area, following a 252-unit complex recently built at 3170 Olympic Boulevard and another approved at 3355 Olympic.
