Vertical construction is complete for two of the $4-billion OC Vibe development's first commercial buildings in Anaheim.

Project officials recently held a topping off ceremony for The Weave, the project's first office building. Standing six stories in height, the 168,000-square-foot building is billed as the first mass timber office building in Orange County.

At street level, The Weave is to include a 50,000-square-foot market hall featuring more than 20 eateries, six bars and lounges, three private event spaces, a podcast studio, and general retail.

Earlier this year, OC Vibe officials also marked the completion of vertical construction for the project's new concert hall. Designed by Populous, the three-level, approximately 104,000-square-foot venue is slated to seat 5,700 people for concerts and sporting events.

Besides the new concert hall, other plans for the project include 1,500 homes, 20 acres of public open space (including a five-acre park), two hotels with 550 guest rooms, and nearly 11,000 parking spaces. The site is slated for up to 1.1 million square feet of offices, inclusive of the under-construction space. In the more distant future, the complex could also serve as a hub for a proposed gondola system connecting the Honda Center, Angel Stadium, Disneyland, and the Anaheim Convention Center.

The OC Vibe development, which is being financed by the Samueli family, will span 100-acres adjacent to the Honda Center and ARTIC. The Samueli family, which also owns the Anaheim Ducks NHL team that calls the Honda Center home, recently announced plans for a $1-billion overhaul of the arena.

The design team for the development is led by Smith-Clementi, which also includes Fletcher Studio and Futureforms.

The Weave and concert venue are both slated to open in 2026. A smaller 2,000-seat theater and a club are slated to follow in 2027. New green spaces and the first of two hotels are poised to open in 2028, with the second hotel and planned housing to debut in 2029 or later.
