Five months into construction, a new Hyatt Place hotel is now rising above ground at Paseo Colorado in Pasadena.

The project, located at the northwest corner of Los Robles Avenue and Green Street, will consist of a six-story building featuring 186 rooms, as well as ground-floor retail space and guest amenities.

Cuningham Group designed the mid-rise structure, which will wrap around a podium-level pool deck.

The $31-million project is expected to finish by the third quarter of this year.  It is located catacorner to the future home of the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine.
