A former automobile service station on Harbor Boulevard is slated to give way to townhomes, according to an item recently considered by the Santa Ana Planning Commission.

The property, located at 501 S. Harbor Boulevard, is a corner lot at Harbor's intersection with Camile Street. Applicant Ventus Group, LLC intends to clear the site to enable the construction of a new 30-unit townhome complex.

Plans call for a series of three-story structures featurines a mix of three- and four-bedroom dwellings, each with a two-level garage at street level. When combined with guest spaces, plans call for a total of 70 parking stalls.

Sakura Architects is designing the project, which would include shared open spaces and common driveways.
