A 1940s single-family home in Mar Vista is poised to give way to a new small lot subdivision, according to plans recently submitted to the City of Los Angeles.
The project, which comes from a San Francisco-based entity affiliated with connections to CSM Partners, calls for razing the existing home and subdividing the property to enable the construction of five new single-family dwellings. Plans show a collection of four-story structures, ranging from 1,443 to 1,765 square feet in size, featuring mix of three- and four-bedroom layouts over two-car garages.
Architect Tracy A. Stone is designing the houses, most of which would come with a rooftop deck. Swamp Pink is the project's landscape architect.
Plans show the homes would be clad in a mix of stucco and metal siding, with balconies and patios accompanying each unit.
The project site is located on a stretch of Barrington which has recently seen the construction of two similar small lot projects. Ten homes were built on a site to the north at 3252 Barrington in 2023, and four houses were completed across the street in 2020.
