Plans for a new production campus just west of Crenshaw Boulevard in Baldwin Hills continue to inch forward, with the release of a new environmental report by the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
Stocker Street Creative, which is being developed by 4SBay Partners, LLC, would rise from a property located at 3701 W. Stocker Street. Plans call for the construction of five buildings containing:
- Building A: an approximately 34,700-square-foot building featuring offices, a food court, and retail;
- Building B: a roughly 138,000-square-foot building containing offices, production support facilities, a restaurant, and a rooftop garden;
- Building C: a security office;
- Building D: featuring 30,000 square feet of soundstages and 31,941 square feet of back-of-house uses,
- Building E: Featuring 19,200 square feet of soundstages and a nearly 13,000-square-foot mill shop; and
- Building F: featuring parking, a community room, and other back of house functions.
A total of 349 parking spaces are to be provided across the site, as well as an approximately 31,000-square-foot open space at the center of the property, which would be used for community and private events.
JGM is designing the project, which would include structures up to seven stories and 110 feet in height.
Pending approvals, construction of Stocker Street Creative could occur over 35 months starting as early as July 2026 and concluding by May 2029.
The studio complex is one of three large plans for commercial developments on sites near the K in Baldwin Hills. Harridge Development Group has approvals to add more than 900 homes, a hotel, and other commercial uses to the 42-acre Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza mall property to the northeast, while Hudson Pacific Properties is slated to build roughly 300,000 square feet of offices on the former Marlton Square site.
