One year after starting construction on the east side of Downtown Long Beach, wood framing has reached its peak for a new affordable housing complex from Mercy Housing California.

Located at 300 Alamitos Avenue, the new five-story building is being developed as a joint venture with CTY Housing. Plans call for 82 one-bedroom apartments reserved for low-income and homeless seniors.
