One block south of Washington Boulevard in Mid-City, developer DCM Rentals has commenced work on a new affordable housing complex.
Located at 4940 W. 20th Street, the project calls for the construction of a five-story, 61-unit apartment complex featuring a mix of studio and one-bedroom dwellings without on-site parking.

According to an approval letter issued by the Planning Department, the apartments are to be rented to low- and moderate-income households.
Open Office is designing the contemporary low-rise development, per plans included with the entitlement application.

The project sits directly north of a second development from DCM Rentals which is wrapping up work at 4973 W. 21st Street. That building is a five-story structure featuring 47 apartments, catering to the same income levels.
