Framing is complete for a small mixed-use development just west of Aviation Boulevard in Manhattan Beach.
The project at 1701 W. Artesia Boulevard, linked to the entity 1701 Artesia, LLC, replaced two small commercial and residential buildings with a new development that will include 12 one- and two-bedroom condominiums (including one affordable unit) with a single commercial unit at the ground level and a 20-car garage.
A project representative stated in 2024 that the building would include condos ranging from 911 to 1,108 square feet in size, all including in-unit laundry. The housing will be served by a four-stop elevator providing access to the project's subterranean parking garage, which will include two EV charging stations.
Obelisk Architects is designing the contemporary low-rise building.
At the time we first covered the project in late 2024, the property was listed for sale with an asking price of $20 million.
