A vacant home in the border between West Hills and Canoga Park is set to give way to a new small lot subdivision, per a recent application to the L.A. Department of City Planning.
Jonathan Sabag of 6540 Shoup, LLC, listed as the owner and applicant for the project at 6540 Shoup Avenue, is looking to redevelop the property with 10 single-family homes and five attached accessory dwelling units, resulting in a total of 15 residential units.
JZA Architecture is designing the homes, which are depicted as contemporary three-story structures, each featuring three bedrooms above a two-car garage. Plans show that the homes would also include rooftop decks.
The proposed project would take advantage of the provisions of SB 684, a state bill which streamlines the approvals of townhome projects.
