An early 20th century building in Historic South-Central is slated to give way to a new affordable housing complex, according to a recent application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The property, located at 4061 S. Main Street, is was developed with a two-story, four-unit building in 1908, according to city records. The existing building is poised to give way to a new seven-story edifice featuring 83 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom dwellings with parking for 31 vehicles.
The apartments are to be fully restricted to below market rate rents, making the project eligible for the affordable housing incentives of the citywide incentive housing program.
SG Design is the architects for the project, according to plans included with the filing.
City records list the owner and applicant for the project as Raymond Saviss of Sasi Main, LLC.
