A single-family home located just west of Century City is set to give way to apartments, according to a new application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The proposed project from applicant Mehrzad Shirani Lapari, slated for a site at 2217 S. Fox Hills Drive, calls for the construction of a seven-story building featuring 17 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments above parking for six vehicles.

Requested entitlements include mixed-income housing incentives to permit a larger building than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, two of the apartments are to be set aside as affordable units.

California Development & Design Inc. is designing the project, according to plans included with the filing. Renderings portray a slim podium-type building.

The project site is located just west of the Fox Studios Lot.
