A project website offers up a first look at the Depot at Hyde Park, a proposed mixed-use affordable housing complex by GTM Holdings.
The project, located at 6527-6531 S. Crenshaw Boulevard, would consist of 43 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments seated atop 1,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Plans also call for 22 parking spaces in a partially below-grade garage.
City records indicate that the project will be priced for households making between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income.
The $23-million development is being designed by Lahmon Architects, with plans calling for an exterior of cement plaster.
Construction is expected to occur over 20 months, starting sometime in 2018.
The development site sits midway between the Crenshaw/LAX Line's Fairview Heights and Hyde Park stations.
