Work has commenced for a multifamily residential development just off of Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, according to permits recently issued by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.
The project, slated for a site located at 11043-11103 W. Hartsook Street, calls for the construction of a six-story building featuring 59 apartments above a subterranean parking garage.
Approved plans relied on Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger structure than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, eight of the apartments are to be set aside for low- and extremely low-income households.
City records list the owner of the property at 11103 Hartsook Street, LLC, an entity managed by Tzvika Diner.
The project site was previously slated for the construction of a larger multifamily residential building featuring 138 homes. For some light reading about the prior owner of the site, look here.
