In Westchester, framing is complete for the latest affordable housing complex from HVN Development.
The project, which is located north of the LAX/Metro Transit Center at 8911 Ramsgate Avenue, consists of a five-story building featuring 77 one- and two-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.
HVN entitled the project with streamlining via the Mayor's Executive Directive 1 and density bonus incentives. The project is eligible for those incentive programs as the new apartments will be restricted to low- and moderate-income renters.
Stockton Architects is designing the project, which is depicted in plans as a contemporary podium-type building clad in painted stucco.
HVN is developing more than one dozen affordable housing projects within the City of Los Angeles. The company has proposed another Westchester development on a neighboring site at 8811 Reading Avenue.
