Work is underway for a new multifamily residential development at a prominent site in Brentwood.

The project from Nirup Venkatachalam of Radha Group, located on a corner lot at 11905 Wilshire Boulevard, calls for the construction of a new seven-story building featuring 81 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above roughly 3,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 105-car garage.

Project approvals include density bonus incentives to allow the construction of a larger building than permitted by zoning rules. In exchange, nine of the new apartments are to be set aside for rent as very low-income affordable housing.

Carrier Johnson + Culture is designing 11905 Wilshire, which is depicted in plans as a contemporary podium-type building. Plans call for amenities such as a gym, a plaza, and two outdoor decks.

An environmental report adopted by the City of Los Angeles states that construction will occur over an approximately two-year period.

The development site is located a short walk east on Wilshire from Picasso Brentwood, a similar mixed-use apartment complex which opened in 2019, and a few blocks from a 24-story building slated to replace a commercial complex at 11701 Wilshire Boulevard.
