A pair of single-family homes in Venice is set to give way to multifamily housing, according to a new application filed with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The project, slated for a site at 2315 S. Oakwood Avenue, would y8ield a new four-story building featuring 12 two- and three-bedroom homes and parking for eight vehicles at street level.
In exchange for density bonus incentives to permit a larger building than otherwise allowed by zoning rules, two of the new apartments would be set aside for very low-income households.
City records indicate that Los Angeles-based architecture firm Arterberry Cooke is designing the project, which would be a contemporary low-rise structure.
Project applicant 2317 Oakwood, LLC is an entity connected to construction firm Racing Green Group.
A similar project was recently approved for a site around the block along Pisani Place.
