Construction is wrapping up for Blue Hibiscus, a $12.9-million affordable housing development by West Hollywood Community Housing Corp.
The project, located at 1125 N. Detroit Street, consists of a four-story Spanish Colonial Revival style building featuring 22 residential units catering to low-income people living with HIV or AIDS, as well as mentally ill persons and those emerging from foster care.
KFA Architecture designed the project, which will be capped with a roof deck.
Completion is expected later this year.
The project site is located immediately north of Domain, a mixed-use apartment building recently completed by Trammell Crow Residential.
