Architecture firm MVE + Partners has unveiled renderings for a proposed mixed-use development across the street from The Grove and the Farmer's Market.
The project, filed earlier this week with the City of Los Angeles, calls for the construction of a 251-foot-tall high-rise building that will feature 381 residential units and 66,000 square feet of shops and restaurants. The proposed tower would replace the portion of the Town & Country Shopping Center currently occupied by K Mart and several other retail establishments, while rehabilitating other spaces now leased by Whole Foods and CVS Pharmacy.
Renderings show a 19-story glass and steel tower, set away from 3rd Street behind a new retail pavilion. Images also show a podium structure capped with a landscaped amenity deck.
The development site is currently owned by Arba Group, according to The Real Deal.
