Steel beams are being put into place for Hollywood's Godfrey Hotel.
The seven-story building, located one block south of Sunset Boulevard at 1400 Cahuenga Boulevard, will contain 200 guest rooms in addition to restaurant space, a rooftop amenity deck, and a central courtyard.
Designs come from Steinberg Hart, with iterior work by Gettys Group.
Oxford Capital Group is developing the Hollywood Godfrey, which will be the fourth location for the chain, and its first in Los Angeles.
The project site is located just north of the three-acre pit where developers Rescore and Cal-Coast are in the midst of construction on a large residential-retail development known as the Rise Hollywood. Just east toward Vine Street, work is also underway for a office and residential project known as the Academy.
North toward Sunset, a high-rise apartment tower and hotel are slated to replace the current home of Amoeba Records and a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant, respectively.
