The finishing touches are now being put on a dual-branded Marriott hotel in Hawthorne. 

Located at the northwest corner of El Segundo and Hawthorne Boulevards, the five-story building will feature a total of 354 hotel rooms - split between a Marriott Courtyard and a TownePlace Suites.

The new hotel is built out of 198 modular units, assembled in Boise, Idaho and shipped to the project site.  Each of the prefabricated rooms comes with furniture, carpeting, cabinets, and artwork, and are later connected to utilities on-site.

Developer Mogul Capitol has previously announced its intent to open the Hawthorne Marriott hotels in late summer 2018.

Marriott has plans for more than 50 modular hotels across the country; the Hawthorne development is its largest prefabricated development to date.
