R.D. Olson Construction has mostly completed the wooden frame of a new AC Hotel in El Segundo.

The six-story building, located at 2130 Maple Avenue, is being developed by an entity called Welcome Group, Inc.  Plans call for a six-story building containing 180 guest rooms and amenities.

AXIS/GFA Architecture + Design is designing the AC Hotel, which will sit one block northeast of the Green Line's Mariposa Station.

Completion of the AC Hotel is expected in Spring 2019.

The El Segundo establishment is one of a handful of AC Hotels being built in the Los Angeles area, including a 176-room project in the Beverly Grove area.
