Another apartment building could rise near the Crenshaw/LAX Line, according to an application filed last week with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The project site, located at 6320 S. Crenshaw Boulevard, is currently improved with a single-family home.  Applicant Wenhao Mu intends to clear the property to construct a 25-unit apartment building featuring 671 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The entitlement application was filed through the Transit Oriented Communities program, with requests for affordable housing incentives including a reduction in required open space and side and rear yards.

A similar development featuring market-rate and affordable units is currently under construction a block north at 6111 Crenshaw Boulevard.
