Construction of a multifamily residential complex near the Orange Line's Warner Center Station has reached the fourth floor above ground.

The project, called Evolution Warner Center, is located at 6606 N. Variel Avenue.  Developer Evolution Strategic Partners is planning for a six-story structure that will feature 271 apartments as well as amenities such as a swimming pool, a fitness center, a rooftop deck, and a partially subterranean parking structure.

Urban Architecture Lab is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which will consist of four levels of wood-frame construction above a concrete base.  Renderings show a contemporary mid-rise structure.

Landscape architecture firm Superjacent is designing the project's open spaces, including two courtyards and a street-fronting plaza.

Completion of Evolution Warner Center is anticipated in Fall 2019.
