Just east of the Colonial Corners Mar Vista, construction continues for a new mixed-use complex.

The four-story edifice, rising at 11671-11677 W. National Boulevard, will feature 48 residential units above ground-floor commercial space and two levels of basement parking.

A rendering of the project, which is being designed by Reed Architectural Group, portrays a contemporary low-rise structure with Juliet balconies and a roof deck.

Frymer Construction is serving as the project's general contractor.

The Mar Vista Community Council has expressed opposition to the development at 11671 National on account of a lack of community outreach in advance of the start of construction.
